Thot the icthyologist bit must have been a reference to a movie or book… or you’re feeling the effects of hammering all those bottles in the previous post.
Sounds like you’ve decided to take the canal. If you head north to the US, be sure to visit Roatan on your way up. I think you’ll like the Carribean ‘flavor’ of the town of West End there.
With a British history it has a very different flavor from ‘Latin America’. I may ask you the favor of visiting a school in the village of Milton to see how the folks are doing. (longer story here that I may PM you)

If they have 2 pair of legs on most of their body segments… they are millipedes. One pair of jointed legs per segment… centipede.

No, but you do look somewhat like an entomologist.
