Hi Joshua & Cheyenne sometmes the “hermit” crabs take up an abandoned conch shell and get real big and real delicious. Hope you can find some—–you are looking good.

We actually tried some. One island was crawling with huge ones. We´d heard that they were like shrimp with yummy tails in the shell. It turns out that the bodies are full of guts and not so appetizing. The leg meat is very sweet and tasty, but there just isn´t enough of it to make it worthwhile. Maybe there are even larger ones somewhere…
