This was taken months ago. You can tell because it’s not raining.

We woke up this morning to a snow flurry. It only lasted an hour or so before turning to another rainy day in Portland but it was pretty while it lasted.

With the gray skies of winter we tend to forget it’s there, until we crest a bridge or turn the right corner on a rare clear day.

One of the many mountain streams that flow into the Columbia Gorge. The dark under the trees and the bright off the water make it hard to get a good exposure of the whole scene. Instead, I made this HDR composite from several photos with different exposure settings. Click the image for a higher res version.
